{"id":1601,"date":"2026-01-25T15:34:52","date_gmt":"2026-01-25T15:34:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/samajsanchar.com\/?p=1601"},"modified":"2026-01-25T15:34:52","modified_gmt":"2026-01-25T15:34:52","slug":"army-rowing-node-awarded-word-best","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/samajsanchar.com\/?p=1601","title":{"rendered":"Army Rowing Node awarded word best"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: center;\"><em>The Pune-based node awarded by World Rowing in Switzerland<\/em><\/h1>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Pune, 24 January<\/strong>: Indian rowing scaled the peak in world recognition, when Pune-based Army Rowing Node (ARN),\u00a0situated at the College of Military Engineering (CME) campus, was awarded with the \u2018Best Rowing Club\u2019 by World Rowing at the\u00a0Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/worldrowing.com\/about\/awards\/rowing-programme-of-the-year\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/worldrowing.com\/about\/awards\/rowing-programme-of-the-year\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1769432528809000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3u3BxAQuaOkYOWhKizElkU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The \u201cRowing Programme of the Year\u201d award<\/a>\u00a0is given to World Rowing\u2019s commitment to expanding the international Rowing community, involving clubs, schools and universities more deeply, and highlighting their crucial role in developing the sport.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Army Rowing Node (ARN)\u00a0topped the final list of three finalists, which included &#8211;\u00a0Rowing for Health (Aviron Sant\u00e9), Lyon,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>France and<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Refugee Integration\u00a0Programme, Lancaster,\u00a0United Kingdom by the Executive Committee for the 2025 World Rowing Awards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The nominees were shortlisted following public nominations, and based on the analysis of expert panels created for each of the eight awards handed by World Rowing. The other awards were, the \u2018Artistic Contribution of the Year\u2019, the \u2018Men\u2019s Crew of the Year\u2019, the \u2018Women\u2019s Crew of the Year\u2019, the Para Crew of the Year\u2019, the \u2018Coach of the Year\u2019, the \u2018Thomas Keller Medal\u2019 and the \u2018Distinguished Service to International Rowing\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">World Rowing, previously named FISA (from the French, Federation International dec Societes d\u2019Aviron) is the governing body of the sport of rowing.
