Pune, : The Empress Botanical Garden, Pune, is organising Drawing and Handwriting Competitions for children on Sunday, 18 January 2026, at the Empress Botanical Garden near Race Course, Pune – 411001. The organisers have announced that there will be no entry fee for either of the competitions.
The Drawing Competition will be held for children in the age group of 5 to 15 years from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon. Registration will begin at 9.00 am onwards. The topic for the competition will be given on the spot, and paper will be provided by the organisers. Participants are required to bring their own drawing boards and colouring materials of their choice.
The Handwriting Competition is scheduled from 12.00 pm to 12.30 pm and is open to children aged 6 to 15 years. Writing material and paper will be provided; however, participants must bring their own writing boards along with pens or pencils.
The competitions are being organised by Friends of Botanical Garden, Pune, with the objective of encouraging creativity, neat handwriting, and artistic expression among children. Parents are urged to ensure maximum participation of their children in this educational and creative initiative.
