Punyadham Ashram celebrated its Foundation Day on 5th March, with devotion, gratitude, and enthusiasm. The date holds a special significance for Punyadham Ashram as 5th March is the birthday of their chairperson, Maa Krishna Kashyap, whose vision and compassion led to the establishment of Punyadham Ashram as a center dedicated to service, care, and humanity.

The highlight of the celebration was the presentation of the ‘Punyadham Humanitarian Service Award’ to Smt. Mamata Sindhutai Sapakal, a well-known philanthropist and daughter of Padmashri Dr. Sindhutai Sapakal, widely revered across the country as the “Mother of Orphans” for her lifelong service to abandoned children.

The award was presented by the Chief Guest, Shri Avinash Dharmadhikari (Ex-IAS), eminent educationist, author, and journalist, in the distinguished presence of Padma Bhushan Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, pioneer of India’s supercomputer movement.

Instituted by Punyadham Trust, the Punyadham Humanitarian Service Award is presented annually to an individual or organization in recognition of outstanding service to society. The award includes a trophy, citation, and a cash prize of ₹1,00,000 as a token of appreciation for noble humanitarian work.

The gathering was deeply inspired by the thought-provoking addresses delivered by Shri Avinash Dharmadhikari and Mamata Sindhutai Sapakal, who spoke about compassion, dedication, and their journeys in serving society.
